Brazil: The 'Seleçao' will field almost the same starting XI that started the 1-1 draw with Switzerland last time out, meaning that Neymar will be joined in attack by Gabriel Jesus and Willian, with Philippe Coutinho playing a slightly more withdrawn role in midfield. The only change will come at right-back, where Fagner will start, with Danilo suffering form a hip injury.
Costa Rica: Oscar Tabarez may choose to make some tweaks up front, with his side having only scored once in their last four World Cup games. Their search for goals and attacking thrust could lead them to Arsenal's Joel Campbell, who was made to do with a place on the bench in the narrow defeat to Serbia.
Brazil boss Tite on Neymar's fitness:
He had a blow [to the ankle] but we're still in the initial project. He was out for three-and-a-half months and has just played his first game of 90 minutes.
"There is a science and we have a lot of tranquillity with that. It takes about five matches for you to be full-on and he's already sped up the process.
"There is this evolution taking place. Don't worry.
"He would play [if this was not the World Cup]. It's not a sacrifice. It's an evolutionary process. You just speed up the steps.
"We want to win. It's a World Cup but the coach is not going to pay with a player's health and be dishonest to win. That's a price that is too high to pay.
"You're going to pay the price if you're nervous and don't think about the game but there is no compromise on those values on health and honesty."
Costa Rica manager Oscar Tabarez on stopping Neymar:
"Neymar is a very skilled player and it is true we have seen how people have tried to stop him a little aggressively.
"We have our own strategy and we'll see what happens. We'll see – maybe we'll cover him with two men – we'll see. But, of course, we do not want to see any unfair attacks against him.
"My players know what to do."
