  • 94'
    Aguero was booked for that.
  • 93'
Aguero fouls Alves and then throws the ball down in disgust. The last 15-20 minutes have been a poor spectacle as frustration has got the better of Argentina.

Brazil are running out the clock here. Alves wins a corner after a ball in is headed away.
  • 91'
    Four added on.
  • 90'
Di Maria looks to find Messi with a looping ball and the Brazil defence deal with it easy.
  • 88'
Alves wins a corner now and the Oles have started in the stands. Argentina have kept on trying, but the second goal knocked the stuffing out of them.
  • 87'
Firmino runs into the box and goes down wanting a penalty. Nothing given.
  • 85'
Dybala replaces Tagliafico for Argentina. Too late though I feel.
  • 82'
Willian is down injured here! He went down behind the goal and he rollled back into play. Not really sure what the problem was.

  • 80'
Brazil sub: Jesus goes off and Allan joins us.

It hits the wall and it will be a corner. It comes to nothing as it is half cleared and Di Maria shoots well over.
  • 77'
Free-kick for Argentina here in a dangerous position.
  • 76'
Argentina have had plenty of chances to score, but they have wasted many chances and Brazil have been clinical. That's the difference.
  • 75'
Jesus is almost played through now.
  • 73'
Firmino is brought down now in midfield and Lautaro, who is on a yellow, is fuming as a small fight breaks out. Scaloni is booked on the touchline now. This is pure frustration.
  • 71'
Goal!!!!!!!! Firmino!!!!! On the counter!! Messi looks for Aguero, he runs into traffic, Jesus counters down the field, he beats Otamendi and Foyth among others before squaring for Firmino to tap in. Argentina seem to be claiming for something, but nothing is given.
  • 67'
Argentina sub: Lo Celso is on the field, De Paul makes way.
  • 66'
    Messi!!!! Alisson catches it easily.
  • 65'

Brazil sub: Miranda on for Marquinhos.
  • 61'
Marquinhos has gone here. He can't continue as he has pulled a muscle and Miranda is ready to replace him.
  • 59'
Argentina sub: Di Maria replaces Acuna.
  • 58'
Lautaro is booked now for fouling Sandro. He will also miss the final or 3rd place play-off. This rule is stupid. If it's for a straight red, fine, but not for an accumulation of bookings. Need to follow UEFA's lead.

  • 45'
HT: Brazil 1-0 Argentina!! Half-time here in an entertaining first period. Brazil started positively in the first 10 minutes and scored through Jesus in the 19th when Argentina were coming into the game. Argentina then took charge and had a few good chances including Aguero hitting the bar before the final 10 minutes were even and open. Join us in 10 for the second period!
  • 45'
Argentina are pressing, but Brazil keep them away from the area and then Foyth is fouled as Brazil look to counter. This is being played at a very fast tempo.
  • 45'

Everton causes havoc in the Argentina box and Foyth has to clear for a corner.

Acuna will miss the final through suspension if Argentina get through. That's unfair in my book,.

Goal for Brazil!!!!! Jesus!!! Otamendi wanted a foul by Alves, The Brazilian then wins the 50:50 with Acuna and makes a run down the near side before finding Firmino who squares for Jesus at the far post to hit home. The Belo Horizonte corwd go beserk!

That means all the big guns are there including Messi and Lautaro Martinez who has had a brilliant tournament.

Lionel Scaloni fields an unchanged side from the team which defeated Venezuela 2-0 in the last round. This is the first time he had done this since taking over as Argentina coach after not naming an unchanged team in his first 13 games in charge.
  • PRVW
Fernandinho who was touch and go for this game after the knee injury he got against Venezuela doesn't start. Richarlison doesn't either, but he could come on later.
  • PRVW
Brazil make two changes to the team which defeated Paraguay on penalties after a goalless draw in 90 minutes. Alex Sandro replaces Filipe Luis after the latter picked up a thigh injury while Casemiro comes in for Allan. The Real Madrid man was suspended for the quarters.

The last time Brazil played a semi-final of a major tournament in Belo Horizonte, it was in 2014 when they lost 1-7 to Germany in the World Cup semi-final. They will obviously be hoping history doesn't repeat itself tonight.
