Brandon Williams is leaving on loan to a Premier League side until the end of the current campaign. The 20-year-old left-back, who made 14 appearances in all competitions last season, will wear the Norwich City shirt for at least the next nine months.
Daniel Farke's side emerged Championship champions in April this year, securing promotion to the Premier League. The England player will therefore play in the same division as Solskjaer's Manchester United.
Despite filling Luke Shaw's place in 2019-20, Williams lost his starting place to his own team-mate, who has risen to a remarkable level in recent months, becoming one of the most acclaimed defenders in Europe.
As if that wasn't enough, the arrival of Alex Telles also took him out of the Manchester United first team. Thus, the most favourable destination for the youngster pointed away from Old Trafford.
The coaching staff took the decision to loan him to Carrow Road in order to give him the continuity he needs to continue developing as a professional player. Williams will be looking to win the place of Dimitris Giannoulis as he looks to make his mark on the Premier League once again.
"It feels very different. It’s the first time I’ve ever played for a different club before but I’m just really excited to get started and meet everybody and get my season started on a personal basis," he explained.
