TEAM NEWS

Borussia Dortmund: Marcel Schmelzer (knee) and Abdou Diallo are both ruled out through injury.

Lukas Piszczek is back from injury and returned to the side in Wednesday’s Champions League defeat against Atletico Madrid and is expected to keep his place in the side.

Bayern Munich: Arjen Robben (knee), Thiago Alcantara and Corentin Tolisso are all expected to miss out, however Kovac claims that Thiago and Tolisso are fit.

WHO IS SAYING WHAT?

Borussia Dortmund boss Lucien Favre:

"We always learn something new every game. Win or lose.

"How to beat Bayern Munich? Attack and press. Solid defending and strategic attacking.

"We've made progress over the last 3/4 months. But we still have a lot to learn. We have a relatively young squad."

Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac:

"Arjen Robben is having to sit out of training at the moment. All the other players are fit.

"Dortmund are a very strong team, but we will try and play our own game.

"Der Klassiker is a prestigious clash, with a lot at stake. We want to reduce the gap between us and I am sure that we will hold our own tomorrow.

"We are heading to Dortmund knowing exactly what to expect, although BVB know as well."
