Everton snatched a draw from the jaws of defeat on Saturday, as a goal from Tom Davies in the 96th minute saved them from losing to Nathan Redmond's earlier headed goal. Speaking after the game, manager Sam Allardyce was not happy with the 1-1 draw.
"I thought we were terrible," he said, pulling no punches. "We couldn't pass to each other." However, he also turned his attention to the fans, after the players were booed off at both half-time and full-time.
"You have to forgive these boys because of how hard they worked to get this club out of trouble but there seems to be no credit for what they have done," he stated.
"There seems to be no recognition for that. That is sad. In terms of the some of the fans, some of the media, and I find it rather sad."
