Big clubs looking for bargains

The pandemic is the main news at the moment. Everyone's objective is to defeat the coronavirus.

The health crisis is causing havoc financially speaking. That will become obvious during the transfer window. Major investments on players are not expected this year unlike in previous seasons.

The clubs have got different targets now: the priority is to find experienced footballers who are cheap.

So the large majority of clubs are keeping a close eye on players whose contracts expire in June 2020. That means that, from 1st July, they can move for free! They are absolute bargains.

Many top footballers' contracts end at the end of June: Willian, Cavani, Thiago Silva, Giroud, Mertens, David Silva, Pedro and Vertonghen are just some of them, 'Mundo Deportivo' reminds us.

The big clubs in England, Spain, Italy, France and Germany are not taking their eyes off these players. They are not young talents, but their wealth of experience is always a big plus when it comes to making transfers.
