Leeds United and Manchester City faced off in what was a great match on Saturday 3 October at Elland Road that ended in a 1-1 draw between two of world football's great strategists: Marcelo Bielsa and Pep Guardiola.
After the match, the Argentinean coach approached Guardiola, who revealed part of their conversation during the press conference with the media.
"When it was over, Marcelo came up to me and asked me a question about the clash. He said: 'What is your opinion about the match,'" the former coach of Barcelona and Bayern explained.
"I told him that I'm not able to analyze the game after only a few seconds. That he can means that he is smarter than me. I need time to process how the game went. It was a good game, though," said Pep.
In reference to the match, Guardiola asked for reassurance from the press "It was good, huh? Both teams wanted to attack and it was a good game and a fair result," analyzed Guardiola. "We played an incredible first 30 minutes but we couldn't score any more goals," he said.
