BeSoccer's Premier League Team of the Week - Gameweek 38

We take a look at the players who stood out during the final matches of the Premier League season.

GK: Jack Butland (Stoke)

His side may be getting relegated but Butland has shown on numerous occasions that he deserves his place in the Premier League. The shotstopper made nine saves against Swansea as Stoke ran out 2-1 winners.

RB: Kyle Walker-Peters (Tottenham)

The full-back was a menace down the right side for Leicester, providing Lamela with two goals.

CB: Florian Lejeune (Newcastle)

Four interceptions and one block helped the Magpies keep a clean sheet against Chelsea as they secured a dominant 3-0 win.

CB: Dejan Lovren (Liverpool)

Not only did the Reds keep a clean sheet against Brighton on Sunday but Lovren wrote his name on the scoresheet with a bullet header.

LB: Patrick van Aanholt (Crystal Palace)

This tricky full-back caused lots of problems for West Brom, scoring Palace's second goal to secure a 2-0 victory.

CM: Michael Carrick (Man Utd)

In his final game for the 'Red Devils', Carrick showed his skill with a long pin-point through ball for Juan Mata to square to Marcus Rashford for the winner against Watford.

CM: Jonjo Shelvey

Effortlessly dominated midfield against N'Golo Kante and Ross Barkley, Shelvey gave another reason why he should be on the plane to Russia.

CM: Manuel Lanzini (West Ham)

The Argentina international scored a brace against Everton as the 'Hammers' won 3-1 in London.

F: Erik Lamela (Tottenham)

In a nine-goal thriller, Lamela was involved in three of Spurs' five. He scored two and fired the shot that took an important deflection off Christian Fuchs. He just edges out team-mate Harry Kane.

F: Jamie Vardy (Leicester)

Kane may grab all the headlines but Vardy has had another great season for the 'Foxes'. His brace against Spurs took his tally to 20 Premier League goals for the season.

F: Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)

His strike against Brighton meant the Egyptian broke the record for the highest number of goals in a Premier League season (32). Simply phenomenal.
