Benzema scores hat-trick to send Real through

If there is one thing that characterises Real Madrid, it is that they never give up. PSG dominated the first 45 minutes and Mbappe put his team a within touching distance of the quarter finals after netting in the 39th minute.
The 0-2 aggregate score was halved when Karim Benzema fired home to draw his team level in the match at the Bernabeu.
In a totally unchallenged phase of play, Donarumma received the ball at his feet. The keeper then dithered on it and invited pressure from the Madrid number 9. Benzema forced an error and the keeper gave the ball straight to Vinicius. Vinicius squared the ball back to Benzema on the penalty spot and he duly slotted it past the scrambling Donnarumma.
15 minutes later Benzema drew his side level on aggregate. Modric danced through challenge after challenge in his own half and released Vinicius. Vinicius could not find the angle to shoot and squared it back to Modric who slipped in Benzema. The Frenchman swivled and smashed it past the PSG keeper.
Benzema was not finished. Just two minutes later he completed the turn-around and his hat-trick. Marquinhos was racing back towards his own goal under pressure and scooped the ball weakly away towards the edge of the box. Out of nowhere Benzema swooped in and snapped at the clearance deliciously to send it past Donnarumma once more.
