Darwin Nunez is involved in transfer rumours and more and more clubs are in the fight for the Uruguayan striker. Top European clubs and those with lots of money are keeping a close eye on the 22 year-old striker with the aim of bolster their attack.
Days earlier, AC Milan were willing to fork out money for him and now Newcastle are bidding hard for him. The English club offered Benfica 50 million euros for him, according to 'TuttoMercatoWeb' and the Portuguese outfit rejected it immediately, due to interest from other teams.
The aforementioned media outlet said that people sent by Newcastle travelled to Lisbon at the beginning of December to negotiate over signing the Uruguayan forward, but Benfica said no. As they need to cover for the loss of Wilson, they would have to up their bid.
The Portuguese side paid just 24 million euros for him in 2020 and his market value is now around 80 million euros. Top European clubs such as Barcelona, Man City and Atletico Madrid are also after Nunez.
