"Bellingham? We know him well from when he played for Dortmund"

Spanish playmaker Dani Olmo has spoken about the match between RB Leipzig and Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the second leg of the Champions League last 16. On 'El Larguero' on 'Cadena SER' he praised the figure of Jude Bellingham: "We know him well from when he played for Borussia Dortmund. He is undoubtedly a top player." He also admitted to being surprised by his performance: "It's incredible the goals he has scored and the impact he has at Real Madrid". 

But it is not the Englishman who worries him the most: "If I could take any Real Madrid player out of the game? Vinicius, who has just scored a brace. He makes the difference up top. 

"I hope so. It's difficult, but I hope so," he said of the possibility of a comeback at Real Madrid's home ground. The Germans will have to try to overcome the 0-1 deficit from the first leg. The Catalan explained that they hope to hurt the 'Merengues' as they did in the game in Leipzig.

When asked about his injury, he replied: "I'm recovered. Since the winter break I started to play more and more minutes. I feel very good and motivated. I'm looking forward to Wednesday's game, we're going all out.

The Spaniard looked back on his time in Germany: "I've won quite a few titles. It's true that year after year we've fallen a bit behind in the Bundesliga. I've always had ambition and I'm very happy at Leipzig.

"First I have to perform with my club, then if the call comes from the national team I will do my best because there is always a lot of competition," he explained when asked about Luis De La Fuente's call-up.

He also had time to give his opinion on the controversial finish at the Mestalla last weekend: "It's a play that doesn't usually happen a lot. These are things that can happen, it shouldn't happen, but they are part of the game". 

"It can be surprising that they are 10 points above Bayern, but seeing how they played, you could see they were going to be in the top positions," he replied when asked about Bayer Leverkusen and their outstanding season. 

On whether he would like to return to Spanish football, he said that "I haven't had the chance to play there yet. It would be nice, but I live in the present. The rumours? I take it normally. I dedicate myself to playing. Then what will be, will be," he concluded.
