Bellingham shown straight red card in Osasuna-Real Madrid clash

Real Madrid have been handed an unanticipated setback in their clash against Osasuna. 'Los Blancos', who opened the scoring through Mbappe within the first quarter of the game, found themselves with a sudden blow as Jude Bellingham was sent off with six minutes remaining in the first period.
The Englishman was very surprised when referee Jose Munuera Montero showed him a straight red card, with his teammates immediately rushing to protest the decision. The officiate called Real Madrid captain Modric to the side to explain what had happened.
The ‘DAZN’ cameras captured an extract of the seconds leading up to the sending-off. It all started just after a foul in favour of Osasuna that ended in a goal kick for Carlo Ancelotti's side at the Estadio El Sadar in Pamplona.
Modric himself had a dialogue with the referee and was approached by Bellingham, who was complaining to the referee. Montero responded as he told the midfielder to ‘calm down’. The game was then stopped and the referee showed him the red card.
It was Bellingham's second red card for Real Madrid since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2023, with the first coming last March after arguing with referee Jesus Gil Manzano following a 2-2 league draw at Valenica.
