Hector Bellerin has two years left on his Arsenal contract. It does not expire until 2023.
But the Spaniard does not want to stay at the Gunners, 'The Athletic' says. The paper says that Bellerin has told Arteta of his desire to leave. He has also reportedly told technical director Edu.
He is so keen on leaving that, according to 'The Athletic', he is willing to reduce his salary if he needs to. He will do everything he can to find a club that can afford to pay him.
Up to now, Inter have ben the club which have shown most interest in Bellerin. However, progress has not been made on the move. Inter wanted him on loan or with an option to buy. The Gunners, however, were only willing to loan him out if a compulsory purchase clause was included.
Now Arteta and the board have heard from Bellerin first hand that he wants to leave, if remains to be seen whether they let him go. There are still a couple of weeks left and the doors at the Emirates Stadium remain open.
