Kylian Mbappe gave an interview to 'Esquire'. The PSG striker surprised people showing his more personal side.
"Am I a star? I think so, look. If your face is showed in the whole city and in the world, it's quiet obvious. Being a star is a status, but it doesn't make me a better person," he said.
He also talked about Neymar's difficult adaptation to life in France and the cultural differences between Brazil and France: "In Brazil, people are more festive while in France, they are more serious. Here it's not good to show your hobbies."
"Neymar? People will think that he doesn't care about PSG because he plays poker. I think he began to understand that," Mbappe added. France's Euro 2020 opener is against Germany on 15th June.
"At the beginning, it was difficult for him, he saw it as an attack on him. When he arrived, they put his face on the Eiffel Tower and six months later they asked why he was playing poker. In France, people know what you have, but don't want to see it. They only want to see you playing football with a smile on your face."
"Ego and self-esteem are not just something stars have. It's also a desire to improve and give your best," he added.
In addition, Mbappe spoke about himself: "A modern striker who can play and play anywhere. I played up-front, on the left, on the right..."
"Being as modest as possible, I don't think everyone can make that change every season and perform at the highest level. But it didn't just happen. It was as a result of all what happened to me when I was a teenager."
