Bayern v Atletico Madrid no longer at risk of suspension

Serge Gnabry's positive COVID-19 case set alarm bells ringing in the Champions League. However, 'Marca' published on Wednesday morning that Bayern Munich v Atletico at 21:00 CET will be played. 

Both clubs met with UEFA, as is usual and they dealt with the situation and the protocols to follow. Atletico sources say that calm has been transmitted and at the moment, they are not contemplating postponing the game. 

UEFA rules are saying that they will be able to play as long as a team has at least 13 players available in their squad. At the moment, only Gnabry has tested positive, so Hansi Flick's men are ok to play the match. 

In fact, Bayern Munich trained normally in their sports complex with the absence of a Gnabry who is self-isolating. In addition, the German media outlets also took for granted that this first game is going to be able to be played. 

Nevertheless, all the players were re-tested for coronavirus throughout the morning to take extra precautions as a result of a possible infection. At the moment, the results of the tests are not known.
