Ulrich Hoeness, honorary president of Bayern Munich, offered his opinion on the Robert Lewandowski situation and sent Barcelona a clear message, who are still optimistic of signing him this summer window.
"I don't know anything about a new offer. But the way things are going in Munich, Barcelona should save themselves the trouble of making another offer", the ex-player said in an interview with 'Sky Sports'.
And in the same vein, he said about the Spanish club: "They are clearly financial artists who, despite such a heavy debt burden, can still find a bank that will give them money to pay for such things. To be honest, I can't imagine it very well".
"I don't make the decisions. But the statements from Bayern were clear. They say that Robert should complete his contract in Munich. I don't think that any sum of money that they offer can change our mind", the honorary president added.
In this sense, Hoeness claims that Bayern believe that Lewandowski will stay until the end of his contract, which expires in 2023. At the same time, Barca are preparing a fresh bid for the 33 year-old.
