TEAM NEWS
Bayern Munich
Niko Kovac and his side are lucky as they go into this match with very nearly a fully-fit squad. The only exceptions are Corentin Tolisso, Arjen Robben, and Alphonso Davies.
Manuel Neuer is expected to start between the posts although he did miss Wednesday's DFB Pokal quarter-final with a calf injury.
Alaba and Robben also missed that match but should return to the squad to contest this Bundesliga derby.
Serge Gnabry, James Rodriguez and Kingsley Coman are all expected to start behind Robert Lewandowski who has netted 33 times this season.
Borussia Dortmund
Dortmund aren't so lucky as their key defender Achraf Hakimi is likely to miss the rest of the season after sustaining a broken metatarsal. Abdou Diallo has been nursing a muscle injury, and Christian Pulisic is still recovering from a thigh injury.
Lucien Favre is expected to make late decisions regarding his final starting line-up.
MANAGERS' THOUGHTS
Niko Kovac
"It will be an interesting game. The team that makes fewer mistakes will win.
"It's about responsibility and discipline. I do not just start with the defenders, it starts earlier. You have to be ready, no matter what your level.
"It is not for nothing that titles are decided at the back. We have to come back to defending well, as individuals and as a team."
Lucien Favre
"This game is very special: Bayern vs. Dortmund, the table is close, seven games remain, and two great teams. If we win, nothing is decided, if we draw, nothing is decided, if we lose nothing is decided...it is completlety open.
"It's difficult to determine now, but we think there is a chance he (Paco Alcácer) will play. We will know more tomorrow.
"With Lukasz Piszczek, we will decide whether he joins the squad after tomorrows training session. Abdou Diallo ran today as well, his condition will be decided tomorrow, too."
