Bayern Munich could also get involved in the coming months. The cited source says that Bayern Munich are tempting the goalie to join them and take over from Manuel Neuer who will turn 34 in a few days,
Ter Stegen's contract still runs until June 2022, but the club want to get the new deal done as soon as possible to make guarantee the German's future at the club until 2026 or 2027.
Barcelona have already made an offer to the goalkeeper which would see his salary go up to six and a half million euros net per season. That would make him one of the best paid players in the team.
