Bayern look to hijack City's Rodrigo deal
According to 'AS', Bayern Munich are refusing to give up on signing Rodrigo until he is officially announced as a Manchester City player, with the German side also interested in activating the midfielder's 70 million Euro release clause.
The Spanish press are suggesting that, just as it seemed as though Pep Guardiola had convinced the player to move to City, the German champions reignited their interest and are hopeful of wrapping up a deal for the 22 year-old.
Meanwhile, Atlético Madrid, who already know of Rodrigo's decision to leave the Wanda Metropolitano, are looking to replace him by bringing in Marcos Llorente from Real Madrid - a deal that is also close, but will need to wait for the ex-Villarreal midfielder to secure his move away first before it is confirmed.
After paying 80 million Euros for Lucas Hernández, Bayern are continuing in their quest to bring fresh blood into their team as they chase signings who will not only be able to make an immediate impact, but will also be cornerstone's for the club's future.
