The Portuguese international joined Bayern Munich amongst great hype, signing on for a whopping £27.5m in the summer of 2016. To this day the midfielder remains in the top ten most expensive teenagers of all time, however he failed to meet the sky-high expectations surrounding him on arrival in Germany.
This led to Munich sending Sanches out on loan last summer, giving him to Swansea for a season in exchange for £7m and the majority of his £50,000-per-week wages.
The loan spell didn't bear much fruit, however. Sanches made 15 appearances for the 'Swans' over the season, failing to score once. He hasn't featured once for the Premier League side since January, and he will now return to Bayern for the 2018/19 season, as confirmed by the club.
