The former Everton man has dovetailed well with Hazard this season, assisting the Belgian's seventh goal in the league, during the clash against Southampton and Saturday and he hopes his team mate will remain at Chelsea.
Hazard has been quoted of saying his childhood dream is to go to Madrid, but he has kicked on under Maurizio Sarri after a move to the Spanish capital failed to materialise this summer.
However with Real struggling in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo they are again being linked with Hazard, something which will not please Barkley.
Speaking in a press conference after his international recall to the England squad, Barkley said of his team mate: ''He's a magnificent player,"
"You can see how he started the season and the World Cup that he had, you don't get many players like him.
"He's capable of magic at any moment and to hear the things that he's said, it's great for me get to hear a player like that say so many great things about myself.
"It's important [he stays] because he's been at Chelsea for a long time. He's achieved so much. But I can't speak for Eden. He knows in his mind what he wants but I'd love to play with him for many more years."
