Barella lost his head with Militao and he saw red

Real Madrid and Inter Milan met on Tuesday evening at the Santiago Bernabeu where both were fighting for top spot in the group and to finish in first place in the group. That is key to getting what should be an easier draw in the last 16 as well as the second leg at home. 

The Italians, despite Toni Kroos' early goal, did not give up and went hard for the win. Both teams were already through but they were fighting for top spot.

Nevertheless, in the second half, things got difficult for Inter, who were reduced to 10 men after Nicolo Barella's red card. That was he tried to lash out at Eder Militao. 

After fighting for the ball, the Italian was unhappy with his opponent and he turned around and punched him in the leg. That made the central defender angry and the pair came together. 

Both sets of players had to separate them and the referee gave a red card to Barella and a yellow to Militao. Ancelotti's side had an extra man.
