Barcola puts France ahead in 13 seconds

France got off to the best possible start in the Nations League. It took Didier Deschamps' side just 13 seconds of the game to score against Italy, who came into the game with their guard down and conceded an early goal.

The Italians took a cross through Mateo Retegui, who laid the ball off to Samuele Ricci. Ricci quickly linked up with Di Lorenzo, who found Cambiaso, who again played the ball to his teammate under pressure from an opponent.

Bradley Barcola, very attentive to the action, saw that the Napoli player had not made up his mind and stuck his left foot in to steal the ball. The PSG player ran towards Donnarumma's box and beat the Italian goalkeeper with his right foot.

Kylian Mbappe accompanied the move and offered himself to his compatriot in case he preferred to secure the goal with a pass to the far post. In the end, the No.20 finished with a classy finish to put the runners-up ahead.
