Barcelona will play either America de Mexico or the champion of Asia in the Club World Cup

After the draw that was held in Zurich (Switzerland) on Wednesday, the Catalan club will play in the semifinals of the tournament which brings together the best clubs of each continent, commencing on the 17th of December.

The Asian champions will be crowned on the 5th of December and will be battled out by the four clubs that remain in Asia's biggest competition: Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Al Ahli (Arab Emirates), Guangzhou Evergrande (China) y Gamba Osaka (Japan).   

The other semifinal of the Club World Cup will be held in the city of Osaka and will be played between River Plate from Argentina, who won the Copa Libertadores with the winner of the champion of Africa and the inaugural winner of the clash between the Japanese champion and New Zealand's Auckland City.

African Champions League, as in the case of Asia, is still in the semifinal round, where Al Hilal and Al Marreikh, Sudan Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo and USM Alger of Algeria are all fighting for a place in the tournament .

The final of the Club World Cup will be held on December 20 at the International Stadium Yokohama, where the successor of Real Madrid will be crowned.

The FIFA Club World Cup will return to Japan two years after the tournament was played in Morocco.
