Victory against PSV secured Barcelona's spot in the first round of the knockout phase. Ernesto Valverde's side joined other teams qualifying with a game in hand, as they will finish top of Group B.
Due to their dominance in Group B Barcelona will be seeded as they have finished first. Therefore, the side who train at Cuidad Condal, will play teams who finish second in their groups. The next round will be drawn on December 17 in Nyon, France.
The five-time Champions League winners have stated how they are prioritising the tournament over the league this year, as they attempt to catch rival Real Madrid's 13 titles.
In Group A they can only face Borussia Dortmund due to Atletico Madrid being form the same association. BVB slipped up on Wednesday night drawing 0-0 at home to Club Bruge, giving Atletico Madrid the upper hand in the group, but regardless of what happens Barcelona cannot be drawn against Diego Simeone's side at this stage.
Group C is by far the most tightly-contested group with Liverpool, Napoli and PSG all fighting for qualification. Again, this group will go to the wire, with many tipping PSG and Liverpool to scrape through.
In potentially the weakest group, Barcelona could be drawn against either Germany's Schalke 04 or Porto from Group D. Despite their impressive form in the Champions League, Iker Casillas' side may be the easiest to face.
In Group E, Bayern Munich will top the table if they get at least a point against Ajax in Amsterdam. Again, Ajax will be seen as favourable opposition for Valverde's side.
Second place is still undecided in Group F. Either Shakhtar, Lyon or Manchester City could theoretically all finish in second spot, with Barcelona wanting to avoid Pep Guardiola's Manchester City side.
From Group G, Barcelona could face Roma as Real Madrid comfortably topped the group.
The potentially hardest group, Group H, is also still undecided. Barcelona could face either Manchester United or Juventus, however it looks more likely that Jose Mourinho's men will finish in second place.
The good news for Valverde and Barcelona is that as group winners they will go into the draw as a seeded team, meaning that they will host the second leg at Camp Nou.
The first legs of the last-16 ties will take place either the week beginning February 12th or the following week, with the return legs scheduled for the week beginning either March 5th or March 12th.
