Barcelona's options to fill in for their goalscorer

Who do Barcelona have in their squad to replace Luis Suarez? The Uruguayan striker will be out for four months.

Luis Suarez has scored 14 goals so far this season. 15 goals have been scored between his possible replacements: Antoine Griezmann (nine), Ansu Fati (three), Carles Perez (two) and Ousmane Dembele (one).

More than just standard spare parts, the strikers mentioned are those that Ernesto Valverde (or another coach) has in the squad today. Barca does not have a pure forward that does the work of Suarez when he is not there. Paco Alcacer, for example, was sold to Borussia Dortmund.

Valverde could rely on a 4-man midfield and a strike force formed of Messi and Griezmann. If he wants to keep his offensive trio, Perez and Ansu are footballers who still play in the B team and Dembele is still injured.

The Uruguayan's absence confirms the need to find a replacement. Barcelona's idea was to sign a player in midfield (Lautaro Martinez is the most liked), but this would mean the plan would have to change. The January transfer window is an option.

What alternatives does Barcelona have in their ranks? Abel Ruiz, Konrad, Saverio, Marques, Collado.... There are stars (who need improving) in the inferior categories, no clear alternative that from Barcelona can be considered as a temporary one to play for Suarez.

The four months of absence for Luis Suarez, a real problem for FC Barcelona at a sporting level.
