If Manchester City do not manage to get their Champions League ban overruled, there could very well be a battle for City's best and brightest players.
According to a report in the newspaper 'Express', Barcelona are already studying the options available in Manchester City, focusing on the Portuguese Bernardo Silva.
It is clear that Manchester City do not want to sell one of their best players, but the sanction of two years without playing in the Champions League could be too heavy for the team.
The mentioned source indicated that Barcelona has a great interest in the Portuguese player, having begun talks over the probabilities of bringing the City player.
The first response is expected to be negative, but Barcelona are prepared for long and arduous negotiations. Meanwhile, Bernardo Silva remains focused on Manchester City for which he has scored seven goals and given eight assists so far this year.
"I learned a lot from all the coaches I had, but Pep is special and different in the way he approaches the game and also in the way he looks at training and the little details. For me it's a pleasure to learn from him every day," said Bernardo Silva a few days ago at Eleven Sports.
