The referee decisions in the Real Sociedad-Barcelona may well be soon be forgotten about as the Clasico is just around the corner.
That said, the game was quite controversial. To start with, Real Sociedad were awarded a penalty for a shirt pull by Sergio Busquets on Diego Llorente. Then, right towards the end, Gerard Pique went down on the floor after contact with the Real Sociedad central defender, but Alberola Rojas said that there was no foul and the VAR did not rescue the Catalans.
So far thi season, Barcelona are not getting very lucky with VAR decision. In the Barca-Valencia match, Kevin Gameiro was given a goal after it was chalked off initially.
At Los Carmenes, the VAR buzzed in to give Granada a penalty in a 2-0 loss for Barca in Southern Spain.
Finally, against Levante, Barca had a goal taken away as Griezmann was offside which would have reduced the deficit to 3-2. The only time Barca got lucky was when a Barca penalty earlier in the game was not ruled out despite there being an offside in the build up.
The draw at Anoeta was the straw which broke the camel's back and Barca will now send an official complaint to Spanish FA president Luis Rubiales.
