Barcelona get La Liga green light to register Roony Bardghji

Barcelona have received La Liga's approval to register Roony Bardghji with the reserve side, making him eligible for Hansi Flick's squad to face Valencia on September 14th.
In the final days of the transfer window, the Catalan giants opted to include the Swedish winger in the Barca Atletic squad, formalising his registration with the Catalan Football Federation. However, to feature for the first team, he required express permission from the league authorities, as selectable reserve team players also count towards the salary cap.
This means that had it not been accepted, the former Copenhagen player would only have been able to compete with the second team in the Segunda Federación (fourth tier). But in the end, Barca used part of the guarantee approved by its board of directors weeks ago to include Bardghji and receive the green light from La Liga.
The Swede will be registered with the reserve team but will be able to play under Hansi Flick, wearing the number '28'. From the Sweden Under-21s camp, Roony Bardghji made it clear that his sole intention was to be a first-team player, regardless of being registered with Barca Athletic for logistical reasons.
"I don't think I would have signed for Barca if it was to play for the reserve team. I have played more than 100 games in a senior team, and I would not have accepted going to a B team. That is something that the press has invented," he stated in the newspaper 'Expressen'.
