In the last few days, with so many comings and goings, several strikers have been linked with Barcelona as a possible replacement for Dembélé. The latest one, Roger, looks like it was just a trial balloon, as Paco López denied that Barca had enquired about him.
"I didn't need to talk to him. I've talked to the club and that's enough," Paco López said at the press conference. "The club has transmitted to me that there is no offer from Barca and nobody has communicated with the club. There is no need to worry," he continued.
When asked if Barcelona could pay for the release clause, he was emphatic: "No. All this is something that does not exist. It is only in the press. In reality, which is what the club says, there is nothing. I don't stop to think because I think it's not going to happen".
Levante play away to Villarreal and the Levante manager also had positive words for a club he was at a few years ago.
"We know it's a team that's meant to be on top. With very talented and experienced players. At home they try to be very dominant and are very dangerous in transition and in partnership. They are very well worked out. On a personal level it's always special, but it's out of the question. We want all three points," Paco López concluded.
