Barcelona complete first week of training while awaiting Rashford

The Barcelona squad completed their first week of training with Sunday's morning session, with goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen absent as he trained on the sidelines with a back injury.
During the week, coach Hansi Flick has led ten training sessions in which 10 players from the reserve team have also taken part. One of them, winger Ibrahim Diarra, suffered a muscle tear in the rectus anterior muscle of his right leg on Saturday, which will prevent him from continuing the pre-season with the first team.
The squad will have a rest on Monday, and will return to work in a double session on Tuesday. Manchester United winger Marcus Rashford, who the Catalan club are close to signing on loan with an option to buy, is expected to take part in training at that time.
The British international, who landed in Barcelona on Sunday night, will travel with the Barca expedition to the tour of Japan and Korea that the 'Cules' will begin next Thursday. In Asia, Flick's team will play three friendlies: against Vissel Kobe, on Sunday 27th (12:00h); Seoul, on Thursday 31st (13:00h); and Daegu, on Monday 4th August (13:00h).
