The new logo sees the text removed from the middle of the badge, and replaced with a slightly thicker yellow bar.
The badge is a small change, and it preserves the most recognisable features of the badge.
Among these is the St George cross in the upper-left-hand corner, as he is the patron saint of Catalonia, the region where Barcelona is.
Across from this is the Catalan shield, which has reportedly been in use since the 12th century.
The lower part of the crest shows the colours of Barcelona's home kit, as well as a small football that signifies the purpose of the badge.
