Barcelona are continuing their efforts to sign a new striker for next season. Although they already have the Gabonese Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the board want to have another striker and the name of Marcus Rashford is shown as a great alternative to reach the azulgrana squad.
According to 'Sport', the Catalan giants are keeping an eye on the Manchester United player's situation. Rashford has lost prominence in the Red Devils and could be a victim of the restructuring of the project that will be led by Erik ten Hag.
Although his contract expires in 2023 and the Old Trafford board has the power to extend his contract for one more season, his signing would be financially affordable for Barca.
The English club are interested in lightening their squad and for that they would have to take certain reductions in their players' wage bills, something that Barcelona would take advantage of if they finally decide to go for the England international.
So far this season with his club, Marcus Rashford has made 30 appearances, scoring five goals and providing two assists.
