FC Barcelona want to land Girona midfielder Aleix Garcia for the 2024-25 season, according to 'Mundo Deportivo'. Both the coaching staff and sporting director Deco are keen on the signing. They have already made this known to all parties (player, agent and club) and they are counting on the Catalan player's "yes".
The Catalan club believe that they can get the player's services for an amount of around 14 or 15 million euros. However, Girona are asking or the player's termination clause, which is 20 million euros.
Barcelona hope to be able to make the deal cheaper by including players in exchange. Oriol Romeu (ex Girona) or Pablo Torre and Eric Garcia, who are on loan at Girona, could be part of negotiations.
The player from Ulldecona is a profile that Barcelona need and that they have not been able to cover with the signing of Romeu. His versatility to play both inside and as a defensive midfielder is very much appreciated at Barcelona, as they are two positions that the Catalans want to reinforce.
