Barcelona have got a busy transfer window coming up despite the financial crisis as a result of the coronavirus. There is hardly any money coming in, but the club are looking to buy players for next season.
The Catalans want to get rid of some footballers and all their negotiations are in Italy. Pjanic is one of their main targets and Juve like Arthur so a swap deal is an option, but only if the Brazilian agrees to it.
The La Liga side have given Juventus approval to talk to the Brazilian, knowing that the midfielder does not want to leave the Camp Nou. It looks very difficult for Juve and Arthur to reach an agreement and Barcelona will respect his decision.
According to 'Marca', the Barca board will not put pressure on Arthur to go elsewhere for several very important reasons. The first is that the former Gremio player has a low salary compared to the others and even though he wants a pay rise, his presence will help the club balance the books.
The priority for the club is to sell other men like Vidal and Rakitic. The club gave Inter a list of names of those they would be willing to sell.
The coaching staff also believe that Arthur is an important player and they count on him, something which reduces his chances of moving to Juve. A few days ago, the player himself spoke about Inter's interest and that he was keen to stay on at the Camp Nou.
"I like Inter, but I've not finished yet at Barca. Inter are a strong and prestigious team who are known all over the world," Arthur Melo told 'La Gazzetta dello Sport'.
