Recent weeks have been hectic at Barcelona. The Catalan giants have started to prepare for next season and the amount of transfer rumours has increased massively. Nelson Semedo is always on the list of players linked with a move away.
The Portuguese, who has been linked with Atletico Madrid, arrived at Barcelona a couple of seasons ago. The attacking minded full-back has ended up standing out more in defence in comparison to Sergi Roberto than anything else.
In any case, his place in the starting eleven is far from guaranteed. Therefore, Barca think that Semedo could be one of the footballers they could get most money for in the ongoing transfer window.
The ex-Benfica player has a good chance of leaving the club, but not at any price. Barcelona know that he is a valued full-back and they will put a price which they feel is in keeping with other players who are starters at European clubs in his position.
The player's buyout clause is 100 million euros and Barca hope to obtain at least half in order to make a profit on the 30 million euros they spent on his signing.
'Marca' recalls that Lucas, Mendy, Walker and Cancelo for between 41 and 80 million euros and that Barca will not budge on their request for a similar amount of money.
