Barcelona started to prepare their next La Liga match against Atlético Madrid on Thursday with all their internationals, who have now returned from international duty.
Of the 11 players that have had games with their respective nations, only one of them, Sergio Busquets, came back injured- he sprained his knee- and will not be able to face Atlético at the weekend.
Leo Messi, Miralem Pjanic and Frenkie de Jong were also absent, as they had permission from the club. The good news for Barca is the recovery of Philippe Coutinho, who has completed the last few training sessions at the same pace as his teammates.
The Brazilian midfielder got injured in the femoral biceps of his left leg almost a month ago, in the 'Clásico' against Real Madrid, and could receive the medical all clear tomorrow to face Atlético.
The Barca squad will train again on Friday at 11am at the training ground. After the session, Koeman will give a press conference to assess the match against Simeone's side.
