Barça to focus on Sergi Roberto's renewal next week

Sergi Roberto is still unsure whether he will stay at Barca. The full-back wants to stay and is happy to remain patient in making the decision on his future. Atletico are the club most interested in him.

His renewal with the Catalan giants has been at a standstill for several months. The two parties could not come to an agreement on some of the details of his new contract, so Barcelona did not return to deal with his representative.

With less and less time left before he leaves for free, the newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' reported that the idea is that next week there will be a meeting between the sporting management and Sergi Roberto's representative to come to an agreement. 

"We are in talks with him. He has grown up at here and he will do his best to continue the negotiations and I hope they end well," said Rafa Yuste, during the presentation of the Barça Academy World Cup tournament.

Sergi Roberto, who is in the final stages of his recovery, does not want to leave. He believes he can be a player who can help Xavi and the team to achieve the objectives of next season.
