Atletic Bilbao's youth academy is one of the most prestigious in the country. There are a number of names who have left Lezama (Bilbao's training facility) and have managed to establish themselves in the first team.
However, many have also attracted interest from other big teams and decided to move clubs. According to a report by 'El Correo', Barcelona will try to sign Alvaro Nunez as soon as possible in order to bolster their B-team.
Inaki Arechabaleta himself, candidate for the presidency of Bilbao, confirmed this on 'Radio Nervion', although nothing has been officially confirmed at the moment. Furthermore, the footballer himself has already asked for the cancellation of a clause which would tie him to the club until 2024, with the intention of promoting him to the first team.
Nunez is a right-back who has shone at Bilbao Athletic, where he has made 35 apearances, starting all of them, and has registered one goal and two assists. He has a bright future ahead of him in Lezama.
