Levante will visit Barcelona at the Camp Nou this evening, in a match that will see Rubén Rochina with the team that he once called hone.
More than ten years ago, when the young Valencian midfielder was just a teenager, he was a part of the famous La Masia before leaving to Blackburn Rovers.
For that reason, the midfielder spoke about what promises to be a special match for him: "Although we play against Barça, we're still competing for the three points. We've shown that we're capable of beating any opponent and competing with everyone. We will try to go there and play a good game."
He also recalled his time at famous academy: "Maybe at 12 you are not very aware of what that decision implies and you face it as a change without further ado. With time you realize the importance of that step. I was very comfortable there, It helped me as a player and as a person".
"You have to be aware that the game you've been playing for a long time is not normal for other teams and it's not going to help you much when you leave Barça," he explained about his departure from Catalan territory.
"In all my career, I have not played in any team in which I have been able to develop 100% everything I learned in La Masia. The most important thing for a player who leaves Barça is to realize the other type of football that is in other teams and adapt as quickly as possible," said Rochina
