Barca's sporting director Deco meets with Xavi Simons' representatives

Deco is working in the present and for the future to build Barcelona's squad. While trying to find a solution for the right wing, with Marcus Rashford as the favourite, he is also looking ahead to future seasons.

'Sport' reports that the sporting director of the 'Blaugrana' met with Ali Barat and Faustino Simons, people very close to Xavi Simons, current player of RB Leipzig.

Barat is unofficially his agent, as he has influence over the Dutch player's decisions. The three met for 45 minutes in a hotel in Barcelona.

The aforementioned source explains that the high price it would cost to sign Xavi Simons makes his arrival impossible, in addition to Flick's statements that there is an 'overbooking' of midfielders.
