The club and the player have very different opinions, but Arthur is the one who will ,make the final decision as to whether he will move to a different club or not.

Barcelona are preparing for things to get tense between them and Arthur over the coming weeks and even months. The Brazilian footballer is refusing to leave Barcelona and the version of events given by the club and the player are vastly different.

'AS' mentioned this Saturday the latest news and one can deduce that Barca are very keen to sell Arthur in order to be able to sign player. However, the ex-Gremio man has said on several occasions that he will not be going anywhere.

The media outlet wonders what will happen between the player and his club. Barca bought him as a great promise for the future in midfield and now after two seasons they will not prevent him from leaving.

The footballer's constant injuries and inconsistency have led to the La Liga side running out of patience with him. They also know that the only way they could try and make big signings is by letting Arthur go.

Arthur, whose contract expires in 2024, is calm and confident. He has prepared himself fully during the stoppage and he hopes to be able to get Barcelona to change their opinion by playing well in the remaining matches of the 2019-20 season.

He knows that if he performs as is of expected of him, his low salary could help him remain at the club. Arthur is thinking of the long term because he knows that if he manages to show his football and become a nailed on starter in midfield, he will earn a pay rise sooner rather than later. But before that, he needs to persuade Barca to keep him.
