Youth and talent are two things that the big European clubs are always looking for. After signing Frenkie de Jong, Barca want to follow that up by signing several other jewels from the continent, and are currently planning the arrival of two other players.
As well as the ongoing interest in De Ligt, the option of signing Jovic has become more likely in the last few days. It looks as though Barca's staff have convinced Jovic, and his arrival seems to be almost secured.
The priorities seem clear. According to 'Mundo Deportivo', the Catalan side will take the step forward to try and sign both De Ligt and Jovic, two of the most popular footballers in 'Can Barca'.
The same newspaper assures that Josep Maria Bartomeu, the club's president, will travel on Monday to a meeting in Amsterdam, where he will speak with Ajax about the possible transfer of De Ligt.
Todibo willl be key to the arrival of the Dutch full-back. The Amsterdam side are interested in buying the French defender, who has hardly made an appearance under Ernesto Valverde since he was signed. He will be another key factor to consider in the operation.
Also Eric Abidal will look at Jovic again during his international appearance during the Portugal-Serbia clash. One more test that the Eintracht Frankfurt forward will have to pass in order to keep convincing Barca of his talent.
