Roma are believed to have made clubs aware of his availability at the start of the summer and there are plenty of teams interested in the Greek centre-half. Though it is unknown if Roma are still looking to sell the player following the departure of Antonio Rudiger, whose transfer to Chelsea was made official on Sunday.
Of the teams interested, Barcelona are naturally one of the biggest names. With the Catalan side said to be looking for another centre-half to complement and challenge Umtiti and Pique at the heart of the Barca back four.
Barca's interest has been comfirmed by the player's representative, Ioannis Evangelopoulos. "Inter could be an interesting option, but then again so are Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus. We have already talked to a lot of teams" he stated.
For now, Manolas will start pre-season as normal with Roma, but the Italians are believed to be prepared to cash in on the 26-year-old. Meaning that Barca are in a strong position to make the player their second signing of the summer, following the arrival of Gerard Deulofeu.
