Manchester City do not count on Ikay Gundogan. The German has a contract with the club until June 2023, but the Sky Blues are hoping to find him a place this summer in order to make a profit on a player who arrived in the 16-17 season from Borussia Dortmund.
After several teams reported that the midfielder was looking for a team, there have been many who have shown their interest. Fabrizio Romano has put Arsenal, several Bundesliga sides and Barcelona, with whom he has previously been linked, on the table.
If Gundogan is signed and Lewandowski's transfer is successful, the German and the Pole would once again share a dressing room, as they did at Jurgen Klopp's Borussia Dortmund, with whom they reached the 2013 Champions League final at Wembley. They lost to Bayern Munich.
While the striker spent four seasons with the German club (187 games) and the midfielder five (157 appearances), both players are two of the most valuable players to emerge from a buyer's dream called Signal Iduna Park.
