Dembele's current deal with Barca expires in five days. The club is waiting for a response which still has not yet come. The club's plans for the transfer window could change depending on his answer.
Dembele has an offer to extend his contract on the table. Barca have made it clear that they will not increase the offer. If he wants to stay, he must accept these conditions.
At the moment, the winger has not decided, and this is generating unrest amongst certain members of the board, as 'Mundo Deportivo' reports. A sector of board members believe that the club should withdraw the offer on the 1st July if Dembele has not made a statement by this date. The newspaper explains that part of Barca's board believe that Dembele's silence could damage the club's image.
Dembele knows that Chelsea are another option. Thomas Tuchel wants him at Stamford Bridge and the London side are willing to battle for his signature.
Dembele will have the final say in the matter, but he already knows that he can't delay his decision for too long. He knows that he won't receive a better offer from Barca. He isn't seeing a lot of transfer movement from 'Los Cules' and if this continues, he will have to assess the offers available to him and make his mind up regarding his future, this week.
