The 'FIFA virus' is hitting Barça. The international break is not over and two players have already had to return to the Camp Nou due to injury.
On Saturday, Barcelona gave the latest update on the fitness of Kounde and Araujo. The former was injured against Poland while the latter suffered the same fate against Iran.
With a brief tweet, Barça announced the medical report for both players. It is confirmed that both will be out for a period of time, although the club has not made any statements on the matter.
"Kounde has an injury to the biceps femoris of the left thigh," the club said briefly. As for Araujo, "he has an avulsion of the adductor longus tendon of the right thigh".
As for the estimated time out, the club says that it will be "their evolution" that will determine "their availability". For the time being, they will not be available for the next La Liga match against Mallorca.
Of particular concern is the case of Kounde, who could even miss the 'Clasico'. It remains to be seen when they will be available to Xavi again.
