Florian Wirtz is on everyone's lips this season. If Bayer Leverkusen have already noticed the departure of Havertz this season, it is because of Wirtz's spectacular performances. Last season he did very well, but this term he has become one of the players of the Bundesliga.
His 10 goals and 12 assists up to now have meant that several clubs have got their eyes on him. In recent days, Barcelona and Real Madrid were those to be linked most with the German international.
All of these rumours are quietening down though after comments made by Fernando Carro in an interview with 'Bild'. The CEO of the club said they are not planning to sell him for now.
"I don't think Wirtz will leave before 2024. I hope he is with us at least until 2024." If he left then, Wirtz would be 20 years old.
In any case, his current contract runs until 2026 so any club who want gim will have to fork out an important amount of money for him. That is difficult for Barca and Real Madrid right now as they are focussing on getting Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
