Barcelona have started to look towards the future. With the La Liga title practically impossible, four points off the top with just two matches remaining, the Catalan side have started to outline their plans for next season.
Koeman and Laporta met up to share their ideas for the squad, and 'Sport' reports that one of the new signings could be Sergio Aguero, whose days at Manchester City are coming to an end.
The aforementioned source assures that Barcelona and the Argentine striker have reached an initial agreement which would see the City man join the Spanish side from 1st July. Aguero will sign for two seasons, after having lowered his wage initial wage demands, where will he then join his friend Leo Messi.
Koeman - still Barca manager but in question for this final stage of the season - has given the deal the go ahead, as it won't hinder his chances of getting Memphis Depay as well. Aguero will arrive on a free transfer, given that the striker's contract with City ends on 30th June.
In this manner, the Argentine will become Barcelona's first signing of 2021/22, which will presumably be completed once the Premier League and La Liga seasons have finished.
