Balotelli to join Pyramids

Mario Balotelli's career has had its ups and downs. Despite a good spell in France, the Italian has now returned to performing poorly.

'Super Mario' had even begun training with Serie D side Franciacorta in the fourth division of Italian football. One thing is for sure, if he is to get back to his best he needs to be playing at a higher level than that.

Now, the Italian is on the brink of signing for Pyramids at 30 years of age. The team has only existed for a few years and is looking to shake up both Egyptian and African football in general.

Coached by Basque manager Arruabarrena, Ballotelli could be the final piece in the puzzle to elevate the side to new heights. Although a deal is said to be very close, the Egyptian side continue to deny all rumours for now.
